Antonietta Collins

Antonietta Tonite Gonzalez-Collins is the Mexican American broadcaster. Her current job is with ESPN as a anchor for SportsCenter and sometimes hosts SportsNation. She began working for ESPN in the year 2016. Her mother is the journalist on television Maria Antonieta Collins. Antonietta is a native bilingual. Since she was nine years old, her ability to speak two languages has helped her get a job in Miami as an assistant producer for Univision. In her position she was given the chance to be a part of national show producers like Nuestra Belleza Latina. Premios Lo Nuestro Premios Juventud. Her next assignment was reporter for sports at CBS St. Petersburg. CBS St. Petersburg Affiliate. In 2009, she relocated to Rio Grande Valley to work as a journalist for KNVO TV 48 Univision & Fox2 News. In 2009 she made the move to Rio Grande Valley in Texas in which she was an editor for KNVO48 Univision as well as Fox2 News. Anchor duties for weather or sports were often requested. Deportes 23 in Dallas, Univision's station affiliated with Dallas. In that station, she was given greater duties. She created pieces for Major League Baseball ALDS ALCS and World Series as well Dallas Cowboys NBA postseason finals FC Dallas, and Dallas Stars. She was the producer of Univision 23 Accion Deportiva Extra and anchored it. Then, she became the sports host for the morning show of Despierta America Deportes. The anchor also worked in the same position as Primer Impacto on UniMas Network as well as Contacto Deportivo for its magazine show. Antonietta's parents come from Veracruz Mexico. At some point they were moved from Veracruz Mexico to Mexico City where she was born on November 22 1985. Her older sister is also hers. The family moved into Miami in 1992 after leaving Mexico. After a short time, her father divorced from her mother and she later remarried in the year 1995 to a naval architect whose name was Fabio Fajardo. Fabio Fajardo passed away from kidney cancer in 2006. In June of the year 2006, Antonietta took an entire week with her sister in Canton Ohio. The older Collins girl worked there. Antonietta had just graduated high school, but was already aware of her plans for what she would do. It was a beautiful campus as well as offered the level of education she was looking for. She completed her schooling and was accepted to the University with a degree studying media and communication studies. The relationship she formed was long-lasting with her instructor Mark Bergmann who was the manager for WRMU 91.1 FM of which she was a member. Her professor urged her to have self-confidence and was deeply touched by his passion for journalism.
