Antonietta Collins
Antonietta Toni Gonzalez Collins who is also known as Antonietta Gonzales-Collins in the United States as well as Mexico, is a Mexican-American sportscaster. She's an ESPN news anchor and hosts SportsNation occasionally. She began working for ESPN in the year 2016. The child of the journalist on television Maria Antonieta Collins. Antonietta was bilingual from age nine. Her skill was instrumental in helping her get her first post as a production assistant for Univision Miami, where she worked with the producers of numerous shows, including Nuestra Belleza Latina and Premios Lo Nuestro Premios Juventud. In St. Petersburg, she was then hired as a reporter by the CBS station as a sports journalist. In 2009 she moved to Rio Grande Valley to work as a journalist at KNVO TV 48 Univision & Fox2 News. Covering stories on the issue of immigration and drug trafficking from both sides of the border, she was a reporter on newscasts at 5 p.m. Spanish newscast a reporter and later anchor of anchoring the 9 p.m. news in English and also a reporter again for news at 10:30 p.m. Spanish newscast. Also, she would fill in on occasion as a weather and sports anchor. Later, she was the anchor and reporter for Univision Dallas' Deportes 23. She was then given more responsibility. She reported on The Major League Baseball ALDS ALCS World Series, the Dallas Cowboys as well as the NBA Postseason and the finals of FC Dallas FC Dallas Stars. Additionally, she was host of the local Univision 23 sports show Accion Deportiva Extra. Then, she became the sports host for the morning show of Despierta America Deportes. The anchor also worked in the same position for Primer Impacto on UniMas Network, and Contacto Deportivo for its magazine show. Antonietta Collin's parents originally hail from Veracruz Mexico. They eventually moved into Mexico City where she was born on the 22nd of November, 1985. She's younger than her sister. In 1992, the family left Mexico for the US and settled in Miami. After a short time, her father split from her mother and she then remarried in 1995 a naval architect named Fabio Fajardo. Fabio Fajardo passed away from kidney cancer in the year 2006. The holiday in the summer that she lived with her sibling living in Canton Ohio where the older Collins girl had secured a job. Antonietta was the senior of her high school however, she was very aware of her career goals. She went to Mount Union University in order to see if it was a good fit for her. She discovered that she was a fan of the campus, and the university provided the degree she was looking for. When she completed the requirements for high school, she enrolled in the university to study media studies. Mark Bergmann - her professor - was also the director of WRMU (91.1 FM), where she belonged. Her professor urged her to have self-confidence and was deeply moved by his love of journalism.
